This is the home page of the Wiese family originally of the La Crosse, Wisconsin area. This branch of the Wiese family is decended from Johann Martin Wiese who was born in Preussisch Friedland, West Prussia, March 14, 1852.
Johann (John) Martin Wiese
Johann immigrated to the United States, arriving in July, 1879 through the Port of Baltimore on the Hansa. Travel documents indicate his age as 26 and that his destination was a relative living in Wisconsin. Johann is recorded in the 1880 U.S. census as living with a "cousin."
Johann married Frazisca Tietze in 1881 and had a family of 12 children.
